Domestic Battery 3rd

 

On February 27, 2017 at approximately 2047 hours Deputy Sorensen and Loe were dispatched to 4491 Hempstead 21 in reference to a Domestic Battery.

 

Prior to our arrival, dispatch advised that the suspects in the battery had fled the scene in a gray Toyota pickup, headed towards Highway 278 West. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with the caller who stated that his grandson, age 14 and his granddaughter, age 16, had jumped on and beaten both a 39 year old male, and a 18 year old female.

 

Deputies made contact with the 18 year old female victim who had injuries on the left side of her face consistent with fist strikes, and abrasions on her neck consistent with being grabbed. The 18 year old victim stated that both the 14 year old male and the 16 year old female had the 39 year old on the ground, hitting him, and when she tried to pull them off the 14 year old male turned on her and began hitting her.

 

The 18 year old female stated that then both the 14 year old and the 16 year old got back into a Gray Toyota pickup. Sgt. Bush and H.P.D. Officer Parks made contact with the juveniles in the parking lot of Walmart. Both juveniles were placed under arrest for Domestic Battery 3rd, transported to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where they were booked on the aforementioned charges

 

Deputies made contact with the Juvenile Intake Officer who stated that she wanted to detain both 14 year old and the 16 year old overnight, till their court date the following morning.

 

The jail advised me that they did not have a place to keep the 16 year old female. The Juvenile Intake Officer advised to release the 16 year old female could be released to her mother until court

  

The 16 year old female’s mother arrived arrived at the Hempstead County Detention Facility and she was released to her mother until court on February 28, 2017 at 9:00 A.M.
