Domestic Battery at 105 Hempstead 248

Domestic Battery

 

On June 18, 2017 at approximately 10:45 a.m., Deputy Jeremy Mc Bride was dispatched to 105 Hempstead 248 in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress.

 

Upon arrival, he spoke with the 15-year-old victim. who stated that he was asleep in his bed and his brother, 20-year-old Justin Laudermilk woke him up. The 15-year-old stated that Justin said something to him about his father and 15-year-old stated that he did not want to talk to him. The 15-year-old stated that Justin got mad and started pushing him. The 15 year old stated that he grabbed a knife and put it behind his back, so Justin would back away. The 15 year old stated that Justin came at him again and he dodged the punch, but thought that he cut his brother with the knife. The 15-year-old stated that he dropped the knife and called 911.

 

     Justin stated that he went to wake up his 15-year-old brother to speak with their father on the phone. Justin stated that their father is in ICU in Little Rock with heart problems and did not know if he would live much longer. Justin stated that he got mad at his brother for not talking to their father. Justin stated that he pushed his 15-year-old brother; and then they got into a physical altercation. Justin stated that his brother grabbed a knife and put it behind his back.

 

Justin stated that his 15 year old brother never attempted to stab or cut him with the knife. Justin stated that he pushed his brother and his finger went inside his mouth. Justin stated that his brother attempted to get Justin's finger out of his mouth, but had the knife in his hand still. Just stated that his brother thought he cut Justin; and he dropped the knife, Justin stated that he did not want to pursue charges on Dustin. Justin stated that Dustin was just scared and was not trying to harm him.

 

Deputy Mc Bride took Justin Laudermilk into custody for Domestic Battery 3rd and transported him to the Hempstead County Detention Center, where he was booked in. Mc Bride issued him a citation for Domestic Battery 3rd 5-26-305, with a court date of August 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
