On January 8, 2016 at approximately 1115 hours Mercado was dispatched to Hempstead 185 near Washington, Arkansas in reference to a vehicle that appeared to have been on fire

Investigator Gary Dorman and Deputy Mercado arrived on scene. Deputies witnessed a Light Blue Chrysler 300 on Hempstead 185 near Highway 278 West. The vehicle appeared to been burned inside.

Deputy Mercado opened the doors to the vehicle and found the interior of the vehicle was completely burned no keys were found.    

Inv. Dorman then ran the VIN number 2C3KA43R76H303129 located inside the driver side door. The VIN returned to a 2006 Chrysler 300 stolen out of Texarkana, Arkansas. The vehicle was recovered and towed. Texarkana authorities were notified.
