On the 23rd of February 2025, at approximately 0115, Deputy Johnny Weaver, along with Deputy Cayman Cato and Sgt. Derick Bunn was dispatched to 2614 Abby Rd. in reference to shots fired. Deputies were advised that A 17-year-old male had been transported to SWARMC by private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The Juvenile was later transfer by ambulance to Arkansas Children's Hospital where he was treated.  

Three persons have been arrested in connection with the shooting.     

On Tuesday February 25, 2025 18-year-old Jacorian Key of Hope & 18-year-old Tevion McFadden of Hope were taken into custody and transported to the Hempstead County Detention Center and Booked on Aggravated Assault Charges. 18-year-old Damian Taylor of Hope, was taken into custody for Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons. All Three are being Held pending a First Court Appearance.
